This 1960s original Berkertex dress is in a striking shade of emerald green and has an unusual decorative trompe-l'œil bodice that looks like a bolero jacket is being worn. This is in fact a patterned series of scrolling soutache work. The fabric is a quality manmade rayon, wool, silk blend with a slight sheen and it holds it shape well. It has short capelet sleeves and a flared knee length skirt fastening to the rear with the original zip. It is finished with 5 cover buttons down the front purely for decorative purposes. There is a spare button sewn into the hemline of the skirt which is fully lined in a quality acetate.
In fantastic vintage condition with no issues of any note. Labelled a vintage size 12 which is smaller than today's sizing; we recommend this suitable for size UK size 8 or US 4.
